The exhibition project developed the spatial concept of the basilican plan, recreating continuous spaces with rounded edges and small vaults, emphasized by a classical cornice marking the difference in colour between walls and ceilings. A soft diffused light served as a backdrop to the paintings illuminated directly by spotlights. Every theme section was distinguished by a specific wall colour, identified among the dominant tonalities of the paintings. The graphic design was applied to the walls with frames handmade by a decorator in a contrasting tone. Although unobtrusively sized, the illuminated labels helped to make the circulation route clearly readable.
