The former Caserma Ghisleni has been chosen by Percassi for the exhibition ‘Case Casine Casette Casone’, a narrative excursus into the multi-faceted work of Michele De Lucchi, where building and living space design is interwoven with artistic research. The exhibition is a dialogue between two worlds, the more intimate art world and the public world of architecture, two spheres that keep watch over each other in a continuous confrontation with weak boundaries. The exhibition extends over two storeys. The ground floor route unwinds through a series of photographs with the Casette set in metaphysical landscapes also built by De Lucchi and a miscellaneous selection of writings and designs taken from his notebooks. On the basement floor, the Casette from the Percassi collection are tucked into niches dug from the construction space and alternate with Stories that touch on and explore the recurring themes in the architect’s creative process: the relationship with the self as a client, creativity, reflection on time and space, the value of error and experimentation, the beauty of nature and atmospheric phenomena. The exhibition continues in the Bergamo GAMeC, where two Casette are on display.
